Regional Activities for 2026
We are grateful to have regional volunteers to organize a variety of in-person activities for PSWC members and guests. While it isn’t possible for our very large membership to meet in person on a regular basis, these activities supplement our in-person workshops and exhibitions, providing face-to-face interactions among members of our treasured art community.

San Francisco Bay Area to Big Sur Region
Regional Representative: Kim Lordier
October 14th PSWC Paint out at Cavallo Point CA
Location: Cavallo Point, Sausalito CA
Time: 9:00am
Ready to use your reds and oranges to paint the Golden Gate Bridge? Or how about the stunning San Francisco skyline with sail boats and sea lions? Magnificent Eucalyptus trees and great hiking for partners who don’t paint. Could be foggy, could be crystal clear. Either way there is plenty to paint at the historic Fort Baker army base situated in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
Cavallo Point
Situated at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge, it offers some of the best vantage points of the bridge, San Francisco Bay, and the city skyline.
Historic Fort Baker: The lodge is built on a former U.S. Army post, thoughtfully restoring the symmetrical, Colonial Revival-style officers’ quarters into luxury guest rooms. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Dress in layers.
Bring a snack or lunch. There is a restaurant on site if your prefer.

October 22nd Plein Air at Tolay Lake Regional Park 9:30 – 12:30
Location: 5869 Cannon Lane, Petaluma, CA
Variety of subjects from rolling hills, distant vineyards, close-up old barns, mature trees. Something for everyone to paint.

Central Coast Region
Regional Representatives: Tom Frey & Jim Tyler
November 6th Paint-Out (Location scouted by Tom Frey)
Location: Morro Bay Marina, Main Street, Morro Bay
Time: 9:30am to Noon
We’ll meet at the Boat Harbor parking area across from the State Park restrooms (10 State Park Drive) at the opposite end of the parking lot from Bayside Cafe.
This location is an artists dream: Inspiring views of iconic Hollister Peak, boats, sea birds, the estuary and lovely vegetation. Bring your camera, art supplies and enthusiasm – you won’t be disappointed.

Santa Barbara County Region
Regional Representative: Carol Talley
October 24th Casual Critiques 3:00pm
Location: Carol’s home located between Santa Barbara and Goleta
There is easy access to the freeway and lots of street parking. We can share what we need help with, and be supportive of one another. The activity will take place outdoors, on the patio, weather permitting.
