Michele Z. Farrier

Michele Z Farrier

Michele is active and enjoys time out of doors learning and observing. Her work is done primarily in the field using oil and soft pastels, with a few finishing touches being completed in her studio in Alta. She endeavors to recreate not only what she sees, but how it feels to be there. She is drawn to shadows that create strong patterns, natural compositions and balance.

Michele taught art K-12 for Teton County School District for 19 years. She has a BA from UC Davis in Studio Art and a K-12 Art Specialist Teaching Credential from CSU, Sacramento.

Continuing her education, Michele has studied, through workshops, with Ray Roberts, Jill Carver, Ned Jacob, Camille Przewodek, Tim Horn, Greg McHuron, Kathy Wipfler and as well as at the Plein Air Convention in Monterey, California.

Organization memberships include PSA, PSWC, PAPNM, LPAPA, PAAC, TAC and the Wyoming State Art Registry.

Her work can be found at DeSelms Fine Art in Cheyenne, WY, Guchiebird’s in Driggs, ID, the Ivinson Hospital in Laramie, WY and the Wyoming State Art Collection in Cheyenne.
